A disposable diaper 1 has a first section 18 forming a part of a front waist region 10 and a second section 19 forming the remaining part of the diaper 1. The first and second sections 18, 19 are joined together over the entire width of the diaper 1 along a joined zone 37 extending over the entire width of the diaper 1 so that the joined zone 37 describes a concave line from the front waist region 10 towards a rear waist region 12 as the first section 18 is folded back onto the second section 19 with respective outer surfaces of these first and second sections 18, 19 facing each other. The diaper thus formed fitting thereof to a wearer's belly.
