To assure that a front end 27 of release tape 21 upon which an adhesive surface of fastening tape 20 be never peeled off from a diaper during use of the diaper, the fastening tape 20 is laid upon the release tape 21 with a nonadhesive pick-up lobe 23 of the fastening tape 20 projecting forward beyond the front end 27 of the release tape 21.
