ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A disposable fitted birthing sheet is provided for a mattress which consists of a covering having a contoured shape to fit about the mattress. A first mechanism is in the bottom surface of the covering for providing an access so that the mattress can fit into the covering. A second mechanism is in the top surface of the covering, for keeping a patient dry and infection free during a pre-birthing and birthing process.
