A disposable oxygenating device is described for passively providing oxygen to a breathing patient. The device comprises a body and a collapsible bag coupled thereto, the body including first coupling means being couplable to a source of oxygen. A second coupling means is couplable to an endotracheal tube, laryngeal mask or similar device. A connector is connected to the bag and an oxygen duct is in fluid communication with the first coupling means, having an outlet orifice which in use delivers oxygen from the source of oxygen to inflate the bag with oxygen, and an outlet. The arrangement is such that, in use, the oxygen causes inflation of the bag, and, during an inspiration cycle, oxygen from the bag passes through the second coupling means causing the bag to collapse or partly collapse and, during the expiration cycle, expiration products pass through the body and are expelled through the outlet.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif d'oxygénation (2) jetable comportant un corps (4, 40), couplé à un sac gonflable (16), qui est constitué d'un premier organe de couplage (6) que l'on peut coupler à une source d'oxygène, d'un second organe de couplage (10) que l'on peut coupler à une sonde endotrachéale, à un masque laryngien ou à tout autre dispositif analogue, d'un connecteur (14) auquel le sac (16) est relié, d'un conduit à oxygène (7) qui est en communication fluidique avec le premier organe de couplage et qui a un orifice de sortie (22) qui, en cours d'utilisation, alimente le sac avec l'oxygène de la source d'oxygène de manière à gonfler ce sac, et enfin d'une sortie (20, 44), l'agencement étant tel que, en cours d'utilisation, pendant un cycle d'inspiration, l'oxygène contenu dans le sac passe à travers le second organe de couplage (10) et, pendant un cycle d'expiration, les produits d'expiration passent à travers le corps (2, 40) du dispositif et sont expulsés à travers la sortie (20, 44).
