A premoistened wipe is disclosed. The wipe has a substrate comprising a airlaid nonwoven web of fibers. The web includes cellulosic fibers as well as synthetic fibers. The web also includes an opacifying agent in the form of titanium dioxide added to a latex binder. A method of forming the airlaid nonwoven web having the opacifying agent is also disclosed.
