ABSTRACT A disposable razor assembly and method are provided in which a packet assembly is releasably secured to the handle of the disposable razor. The packet assembly includes a plastic packet having a side wall forming a reservoir for single-use shaving- associated material such as shaving gel and aftershave. The packet includes a tab connected to the packet by a swedged web including a neck in communication with the reservoir. The tabs are secured to the exterior of the handle or are grippingly engaged by a slot in the handle. The reservoir is automatically opened as the plastic packet is torn away from the razor handle even in high humidity environments.
