A disposable utility mat comprises a minimum of one sheet of paper material forming the upper layer and a vinyl sheet forming the under layer. The said paper and vinyl sheets are glued together to form one single piece. At least one adhesive strip is to be placed at strategic point at the under side of the mat. A minimum of one tear line is provided strategically on the paper layer of the mat so as to permit the mat foldable for storage convenience. The mat is designed for general household utility purposes. One of the main purposes is to place the mat over the floor in front of the kitchen stove so as to prevent the floor from being dirtied by scattering debri such as grease, food etc. during the process of cooking.
