A disposable water-absorbent structure comprising highly water absorptive polymer particles, a fibrous support and binders disposed between the polymer particles and the fibrous support. The fibrous support is elastically compressive and bound to the polymer particles by firmly binding effect and loosely binding effect, depending on spots in the structure. The structure thus formed prohibits the formation of gel block by water absorptive polymer particles possibly occurring in the structure.
