DISPOSAL OF PRODUCED FORMATION FINES DURING OIL RECOVERY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Recovered formation fines are pumped in slurry form into an injection well during an enhanced oil recovery process, e.g., steam flooding. Injection of the fines can be done incrementally with slugs of increasing fines content in conjunction with the process. The fines improve the sweep efficiency of the injected medium, especially where steam breakthrough has occurred.
