According to the invention, one or more thermoplastic sheets (2) are applied on a flat or curved tool (13), and strips of a polymer are applied and pressed on the sheets (2). They are maintained by suction pumps (8) having openings (4) giving into a volume that is enclosed or essentially defined by a seal (3) and includes a draining cloth (7). The heating process, which is simultaneous with the deposition for curing or reinforcing the pre-impregnated material, softens the sheets (2), deforms them according to the curvature of the tool (13), and incorporates them into the structure of the pre-impregnated material. Application in methods for draping parts of composite materials.
