A process for dissolving calcium carbonate solids in the presence of an aqueous chlorine-containing solution without the formation of chlorine gas comprising adding a sufficient amount of lactic acid to the solution dissolving said solids.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé qui permet de dissoudre des particules solides de carbonate de calcium en présence d'une solution contenant du chlorure aqueux, sans la formation de gaz de chlore. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter à ladite solution une quantité suffisante d'acide lactique qui dissout lesdites particules solides.
