A distance safety lighting system for boats, comprising three electroluminescent strips disposed in the bumper guard surrounding the gunwale of a boat so as to form a substantially continuous illuminated loop around the boat. Preferably, a red strip extends along the port side of the boat, a green strip extends along the starboard side of the boat, and a white strip extends along the stern of the boat. The three-coloured illuminated strips provide a visually discernable profile of the boat for identification at night.
L'invention concerne un système d'éclairage de sécurité pour bateaux, comportant trois bandes électroluminescentes disposées sur le butoir de pare-chocs autour du plat-bord, de manière à former une boucle lumineuse quasi continue autour du bateau. De préférence, une bande rouge est disposée à bâbord, une bande verte à tribord et une bande blanche à l'arrière du bateau. Les bandes lumineuses de trois couleurs permettent de discerner visuellement le bateau la nuit.
