The DistantLink Video Conferencing for Funeral Homes is a business process that uses the DistantLink Technology to connect remote loved ones from anywhere in the world utilizing Multiple Simultaneous Video Conferencing connections enabling loved ones who otherwise could not attend to essentially "be there" live and in real time from the comfort of their own home computer. An Invitation is sent to any distant loved ones anywhere in the world via email, anywhere from 1 to 1000, that outlines the date, time, and place. At the time of the service, the invitee need only to click on the link provided in the email, and enter a password. The Kiosk that resides in the Funeral Home is also logged onto the server, and utilizing a unique mixture of high-end computer and video components (outlined in the application) allows the attendees who are physically at the service to walk up to the large screen display and simply start talking to anybody who is attending remotely. The remote attendees can interact with live video and audio in real time with participants in the funeral home, or with other remote attendees, essentially making it as if they are right there in the room, no matter where they are in the world. This Business Process application applies to the field of Telecommunications, as well as to the Funeral Industry.
