ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Distillate fuel compositions containing mono alkyl substituted derivatives of thiadiazole are effective in reducing the formation of intake valve deposits in internal combustion engines. Mono alkyl substituted derivatives of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thia- diazole are preferred.
