A non-locking detector switch, provided on or near an adapter with an antenna for accessing a memory unit, is switched on and off by a connector plug when that plug, containing a memory function unit, is coupled to the adapter with such an antenna. Accordingly, the connection status of each connector can be directly and simultaneously detected by the switching operation of the detector switch just before the antenna detects the closing of the memory function unit to opposed to the antenna. This enables the exact and immediate detection of the entire coupling statuses of each of a number of adapters as opposed to just the incomplete coupling status of any one single-adapter.
