Route changes are processed and filtered to notify a client of those routing updates of interest to a client. In one configuration, a set of network addresses are received from a client indicating route updates of interest to the client and a set of types of routing changes that are of interest. One or more data structures are accordingly populated with this information. In response to receiving a route update, one or more lookup operations are performed on the data structure to identify whether this particular route is of interest to a particular client and/or whether any route dependent on the particular route are of interest to a client. The client is notified of the changes of interest. In one embodiment, the type of change to a route is also matched against a set of types of routing changes that are of interest, and a client is only notified if the change to a route of interest also matches a type of routing change of interest.
Selon cette invention, des modifications d'itinéraires sont traitées et filtrées afin qu'un client soit informé des mises à jour de routage présentant un intérêt pour ledit client. Dans une configuration, un ensemble d'adresses réseau est reçu d'un client indiquant des mises à jour de routage d'intérêt pour le client et un ensemble de types de modifications de routage présentant un intérêt. Ces informations sont ensuite entrées dans une ou plusieurs structures de données. Suite à la réception d'une mise à jour d'itinéraire, une ou plusieurs opérations de consultation sont effectuées sur la structure de données afin qu'il soit déterminé si cet itinéraire particulier présente un intérêt pour un client et/ou si un itinéraire quelconque dépendant de l'itinéraire particulier présente un intérêt pour un client. Le client est informé des modifications d'intérêt. Dans un mode de réalisation de cette invention, le type de modification apportée à un itinéraire est également comparé à un ensemble de types de modifications de routage qui présentent un intérêt et un client n'est informé que si la modification d'itinéraire d'intérêt correspond aussi à un type de modification de routage d'intérêt.
