DISTRIBUTION CHAMBER FOR LIQUID AMMONIA ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An expansion chamber for liquid ammonia com- prises a tubular member arranged with the axis verti- cal and a flat end face at the bottom end to which is attached four liquid outlets arranged in a circle around the axis. Pressurized liquid fed through a conduit ax- ially of the chamber escapes radially of the conduit into a cup within the chamber. A dispersal plate is attached to the conduit within the plane of the open end of the cup. The liquid escapes over the rim of the cup into a lower chamber to form a second pool of liquid at the four outlets. A bleed hole is provided in the cup.
