078179-BWL DISTRIBUTOR FOR PLATE FIN EVAPORATOR Abstract: A distributor for feeding the liquid-vapor mixture of refrigerant from the expansion valve to the core elements of an evaporator of an air conditioning system to provide equal distribution of both the liquid and vapor components. The distributor involves either a single header with separate orifices for the liquid and vapor in each core element or a pair of distribution headers to carry the separated component phases from a separator with an orifice for each phase in each core element where the phases would be recombined to pass through the core elements to a common outlet.
