ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to now disubstituted phenol ethers of 3-amino-2-hydroxypropane of the formula Image in which R and R' individually represent lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkoxy, lower carbalkoxy or chlorine and R" represents a diphenylmethyl or fluoren-9-yl radical, and to pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Processes for their preparation are also disclosed and their use as cerebral therapeutic agents. Within the scope of the present invention, the compounds of the general formula I are also understood to include possible geometric isomers or ??antioners and their mixtures, especially racemates.
