A sampling method and apparatus for sampling a dither signal (22) includes the step of sensing a number of peak amplitudes P1, P2, P3... Pn each of the number of peak amplitudes having corresponding times t1, t2, t3... tn while simultaneously sensing a number of ring laser gyro output angles at each of the corresponding times t1, t2, t3... tn. A value of the gyro net output, .DELTA., is calculated as .DELTA.=(n-n-1)-(.alpha.n-.alpha.n-1)K, where K is a correction factor. Alternatively, the stripped gyro angle output may be calculated as g=n-.alpha.nK. Where g is substantially equivalent to the sum of all of the changes in the stripped gyro angle, that is the sum of all .DELTA.'s. The correction may include corrections for gain, phase angle, nonlinearity, temperature bias and scale factors.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil d'échantillonage d'un signal d'activation. Ledit procédé consiste à détecter un certain nombre d'amplitudes de crête, P¿1?, P¿2?, P¿3?... On calcule une valeur de la sortie nette du gyroscope .DELTA.? de la manière suivante: .DELTA.?=(?¿n?-?¿n-1?)-(.alpha.¿n?-.alpha.¿n-1?)K, K étant un facteur de correction. On peut également calculer la sortie angulaire du gyroscope décomposé de cette manière: ?¿g?=?¿n?-.alpha.¿n?K, ?¿g? étant pratiquement équivalent à la somme de tous les changements de l'angle gyroscopique décomposé, soit la somme de tous les .DELTA.?. La correction peut comprendre les corrections de gain, d'angle de phase, de non linéarité, de dérive de température et de facteurs d'échelle.
