A divergent lens (4) with a small-diameter centrally-drilled hole (5), is placed in sight of the window (12) of a laser beam sighting device (10) in order to intercept a laser beam with practically parallel rays (13) from the sighting device, the lens (4) deflecting the laser rays which reach it around the central hole (5) in order to produce a divergent beam (14), while the rays which reach the central hole (5) pass through it without being deflected, so that a thin pencil of rays (15) of greater intensity is formed and can mark a target. The divergent lens (4) is, for example, mounted in a window (3) in the head of a body (3) which slides over and covers the head (11) of a laser beam sighting device (10). The divergent lens (4) may also be mounted in the window (12) provided in the head (11) of a laser beam sighting device (10).
