There are described DNA sequences, that contain the coding region of ammonium transporters, which after introduction in suitable vectors are introduced into the plant genome and lead to the formation of mRNA which makes possible either the formation of new ammonium transporters, or prevents the formation of endogenous ammonium transporters in transgenic plants. There are further described plasmids, bacteria, yeast strains, plant cells and transgenic plants, which contain the sequences of ammonium transporters as a constituent of a recombinant DNA, and also a process for the identification and isolation of DNA sequences, coding for ammonium transporters.
L'invention se rapporte à des séquences d'ADN qui contiennent la région codant les transporteurs d'ammonium. Après avoir été introduites dans des vecteurs appropriés, ces séquences sont introduites dans le génome d'une plante et entraînent la formation d'un ARNm qui contribue à la formation de nouveaux transporteurs d'ammonium endogènes dans des plantes transgéniques. L'invention se rapporte également à des plasmides, des bactéries, des souches de levure, de cellules végétales et des plantes transgéniques qui contiennent les séquences de transporteurs d'ammonium sous forme d'un constituant d'un ADN recombinant, ainsi qu'à un procédé d'identification et d'isolation de séquences d'ADN codant pour ces transporteurs d'ammonium.
