The present invention is directed to a DNA vaccine for immunization against HIV. The invention comprises a DNA molecule that has a sequence encoding a plurality of viral proteins capable of stimulating an immune response against HIV. The DNA molecule is rendered safe for use as a vaccine by the disruption of genes encoding reverse transcriptase, integrase, and Vif. The DNA molecule is further rendered safe by at least a partial deletion of the 3' LTR.
La présente invention porte sur un vaccin ADN permettant une immunisation contre le VIH. L'invention renferme une molécule d'ADN présentant une séquence codant une pluralité de protéines virales aptes à stimuler une réponse immune à l'encontre du VIH. L'utilisation de la molécule d'ADN s'avère sûre dans un vaccin en raison de la rupture de gènes codant une transcriptase inverse, une intégrase et Vif. La molécule d'ADN est sûre en raison d'une élimination au moins partielle de 3' LTR.
