A method and product for making non-reproducible documents (20), in which a nearly invisible indicia (23) on the document 20 is printed by continuous screened lines of a desired pitch (22), and a background (24) that will not reproduce by copying that is formed by orthogonal reproduction of positive/negative images of continuous lines to produce broken lines of a desired width and pitch.

Méthode et produit pour la fabrication de documents non reproductibles (20) comportant la formation d'une empreinte presque invisible sur le document (20) au moyen de traits continus tramés à pas de caractères prédéterminé (22), et sur un fond (24) non reproductible formé par reproduction orthogonale d'images positives/négatives de traits continus en vue d'obtenir des traits ajourés sur une largeur et selon un pas de caractères prédéterminés.
