A dog boot having as particular portions a sole, ankle and calf, the calf and ankle being large enough to accommodate the dog's paw passing through. The calf and ankle portions are generally composed of one piece of 3mm thick neoprene or some material with similar properties. The neoprene is sewn from the foot to the top of the ankle region, on the boot's frontal view. The front of the boot calf has a vertical opening whereby one side of the opening has a triangular extension such that it may wrap around said opening and adhere to the opposite side of the opening via a set of velcro patch means for fastening. This ability to connect the two sides so close to the front eliminates the need for a tounge and prevents slipage, key to maintaining the integrity of the fit. Said triangular extension is further extended by a horizontal strap or belt that continues in the same horizontal plane (set vertical place) as where said triangular extension fastens at one side of the boot; whereby said strap wraps around the boot, extending around its perimeter and fastening to an exterior velcro means for fastening adhesive patch found on the outside surface at the beginning of said strap. Said strap ensures that the first velcro connection does not come apart. Said strap's exterior surface is covered with a reflective material. Said sole portion's exterior surface is composed of a textured, non-slip, rubber surface. Vulcanization connects said rubber surface to the exterior of the neoprene surface. The ankle, calf and triangular extension are made from a single cut-out of neoprene material. Other features add to the boot's advantages.
Botte pour chien comptant les sections particulières suivantes : une semelle, ainsi qu'une cheville et un mollet qui sont assez larges pour que le chien puisse y passer la patte. Les sections du mollet et de la cheville sont composées en général d'une pièce de néoprène, ou d'une matière aux propriétés semblables, de 3 mm d'épaisseur. Le néoprène est cousu du pied jusqu'à la partie supérieure de la section de la cheville sur l'avant de la botte. L'avant de la botte à la hauteur du mollet comporte une ouverture verticale, dont un côté présente une extension triangulaire de manière à pouvoir s'enrouler autour de l'ouverture et à s'attacher au côté opposé de l'ouverture au moyen d'un ensemble d'attaches Velcro. Les deux côtés sont reliés si près de l'avant qu'une languette n'est plus nécessaire et que la patte de l'animal ne glisse pas dans la botte, assurant ainsi le maintien du chaussant. L'extension triangulaire est par ailleurs prolongée par une bride ou ceinture horizontale qui se poursuit dans le même plan horizontal (à un endroit vertical établi) où l'extension s'attache à un côté de la botte; la bride en question s'enroule autour de la botte, s'étendant sur son périmètre et s'attachant par une pièce de Velcro extérieure pour attacher la pièce adhésive sur la surface extérieure au début de la bride en question. La bride fait en sorte de maintenir la première connexion avec le Velcro. La surface extérieure de cette bride est couverte d'un matériel réfléchissant. La surface extérieure de la semelle est en caoutchouc texturée antidérapante. La surface de caoutchouc est réunie par vulcanisation à l'extérieur de la surface de néoprène. Les sections de la cheville et du mollet, ainsi que l'extension triangulaire sont fabriquées à partir d'un seul morceau de néoprène. D'autres caractéristiques viennent s'ajouter aux avantages de la botte.
