The present invention relates to novel peptides useful as anti-cancer agents. The compounds of the invention are of Formula (I): A - B - D - E - F - G; A, B, D, and E are .alpha.-amino acid residues. In one embodiment, F is an azacycloalkanecarboxylic acid residue. In this embodiment, G is a monovalent radical, for example, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heteroaryl group. In another embodiment, F is an azacycloalkyl group and G is a heteroaryl group connected to F by a carbon-carbon bond. In another embodiment, the invention includes a method for treating cancer in a mammal, such as a human, comprising administering to the mammal an effective amount of a compound of Formula (I) in a pharmaceutically acceptable composition.
La présente invention se rapporte à de nouveaux peptides utiles en tant qu'agents anticancéreux. Les composés de cette invention sont représentés par la formule (I): A - B - D - E - F - G, dans laquelle A, B, D et E sont des restes d'alpha-aminoacides. Dans une réalisation, F est un reste d'acide azacycloalcanecarboxylique. Dans cette réalisation, G est un radical monovalent, par exemple un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe alkyle, un groupe aryle ou un groupe hétéroaryle. Dans une autre réalisation, F est un groupe azacycloalkyle et G est un groupe hétéroaryle relié à F par une liaison carbone-carbone. Dans une autre réalisation, l'invention se rapporte à un procédé de traitement du cancer chez un mammifère, tel qu'un humain, qui consiste à administrer audit mammifère une quantité efficace d'un composé représenté par la formule (I) dans une composition pharmaceutiquement acceptable.
