A play kit comprises a doll and a wristwatch assembly detachably mounted thereto for possible use by a child as a wristwatch it has been removed from the doll. The wristwatch assembly is mounted on the doll's garment at a location corresponding to the doll's waist. The wristwatch assembly comprises a wristband and a watchcase, the wristband defining a belt of the doll. VelcroTM-type attachments are used to secure the wristwatch to the doll. Also, the watchcase which is heart-shaped may be removable from the wristband in order to be inserted in a pocket of the garment located close to the doll's heart. The kit further includes a play passport which identifies the doll and also the child using the doll. The passport may include areas for inserting the child's name and picture. The passport may also include a flag and a customs' stamp of the doll's country of origin as well as a song.
