ABSTRACT A dome construction system comprises a polygonal vertical closed supporting wall built from a guyed structure covered with rectangular panels. A polygonal closed girder arranged over said wall supports a slab. A dome structure covering the polygonal space above the girder has a plurality of struts connected to each other by connectors. Each connector is formed by a central ring and a plurality of legs, each leg being formed by a pair of parallel connecting or gusset plates, within which pairs of gusset plates the struts are fastened. The connectors have four five or six-legs that extend radially outwardly from the ring such that, by suitably arranging the connectors and their interconnecting struts, triangular frames are formed which in turn are arranged in tetra-, penta-, and hexagonal sets. A plurality of supporting bars extend between at least two struts of each triangular frame, and suitable triangular cover panels are provided over each one of the triangular frames.
