A lid dispenser includes a base adapted for fixed securement to an associated support structure. An elongated shank projects outwardly from the base and includes a proximal end connected to the base. The shank also includes a distal end that is spaced from the proximal end, and a lid holding region is located intermediate the proximal and distal ends. The intermediate region defines a first maximum cross-sectional dimension. An enlarged member is located adjacent the distal end of the shank and defines a second maximum cross-sectional dimension greater than the first cross-sectional dimension. Accordingly, associated lids are held on the intermediate region by placement of the enlarged member into and through an aperture defined in each of the associated lids, wherein at least a portion of the aperture defines a minimal span that is less than the second maximum cross-sectional dimension of the enlarged member. The second maximum cross-sectional dimension can be adjustable.
