A door for a door opening into a building which includes a fabric material extending over the door opening and means for supporting a top of the fabric material from a top of the opening. A plurality of spaced apart cables extend down adjacent to the fabric and are clamped to a bottom thereof. Means are provided for reversibly winding the cables up so as to raise a bottom of the fabric material and for slidably attaching the fabric to the cables at spaced apart horizontally aligned locations. Means are also provided for guiding each side of the fabric proximate a bottom thereof vertically along a side of each door opening. A bottom of the fabric material moves up in response to being impacted by a high wind and opens at the sides to spill the impacting wind out the sides into an interior of the door opening. Thus, the door is responsive to wind force to shape itself in a way that limits the impact of the wind and prevents any structural damage that would otherwise occur with a rigid door structure.
