The present invention relates generally to door frames used in buildings, and more particularly to a door frame preferably comprising a traditional wooden interior and an extruded thermoplastic exterior component and brickmould which reduces maintenance requirements and costly on site service. The invention comprises a door jamb having an interior component for fastening to a framed in opening in a building and an exterior, multi-chambered component shaped to snugly overly a portion of the interior component. The exterior component comprises a receiving screwport for receiving a screw passing through a screwport in the interior component as well as a recessed pocket. Furthermore, the invention also comprises a snap-in fin and leg on the brickmould to attach the brickmould to the doorjamb. The invention also includes a corner brickmould assembly comprising a generally L-shaped reinforcement apiece which is contained within mating pieces of brickmould.
