Abstract The invention is a furnace door seal consisting of a Z-shaped angle-piece with two legs at right angles to the web, the upper leg and web of which bear against the upper edge of the door-frame. The advantage is that the seal is easily replaceable and is so designed that the brick work is protected against distortion of the door-frame.
