A synthetic door frame has a rectangular frame formed from a synthetic extrusion. The frame has a pair of spaced parallel sides interconnected by top and bottom members. A stop projects inwardly from each frame member to provide a continuous abutment for a door. A scuff plate is located on the inwardly directed face of the bottom member and extends over the stop to provide protection for the extension.
