ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A door latch operator and handle assembly mounted on a door. The handle has a hand grip portion spaced outwardly from the face of the door so that it may be gripped and pulled to open the door. A door latch operator on the handle is movable to a latch retracting position by an actuator. The actuator is in the form of a pivoted lever having an actuating arm along the inner side of the hand grip portion in a position such that when the hand grip portion is pulled, a pull is also applied on the actuating arm so that in the one motion of pulling the door open, the latch is simultaneously released.
