Abstract A device for securing a closed inward swinging door from the interior, consisting of a vertical shaft of which one end is secured near the door handle and the opposite end has a pad which rests on the floor. Embedded into or located in this pad may be a one or more spikes or protrusions which upon an attempt to open the inward-swinging door from the exterior push down into the floor thus prohibiting its opening.
