A door latch guard includes a first elongate member adapted to be secured to a door frame and which has a first elongate interlock. A second elongate member is provided which is adapted to be secured to the front of a door along an edge in a protective position relative to a door latch and which has a second elongate interlock. The first elongate interlock is adapted to mate with the second elongate interlock in an interlocking engagement. Any lock picking tool utilized in a break-in must follow a tortuous path created by the interlocking engagement to access the door latch.
