ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A door lock guard, which is relatively simple in terms of structure, installation and use, includes a striker plate resembling a conventional striker plate, except that it includes a rectangular flange perpendicular to the main body of the plate for extending around the outer edge of a door in the closed position; and a rectangular latch plate with a projection on one side edge thereof for mating with a rectangular opening in the flange when the door is closed, whereby insertion of a thin article such as a credit card between the striker and latch plates to release the bolt of the lock is prevented.
