Certains butoirs amortissent légèrement la porte àl'aide de ressorts, de caoutchouc mousse ou de lames métaliques courbées agissant comme des ressorts. Dans la pésente invention, mettant à profit sa flexibilité, une vis de 4 pouces de longeur sert à freiner doucement une porte en mouvement. La pièce assemblée à son sommet permet d'en amplifier la flexion pour améliorant l'effet de ressort.
