The present invention provides compounds, compositions and methods for inhibiting D2R-DISC1 interaction. Specifically, the present invention provides a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence KIYIVLRRRRKRVNT (SEQ ID NO: 1) or SEQ ID NO:5, a fragment thereof, or a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 80% identical to SEQ ID NO: 1 or 5, or a fragment thereof, wherein the polypeptide is not a naturally occurring dopamine receptor. Also provided is a method of identifying an agent that inhibits the interaction of D2R with DISC1, a method of identifying an agent that binds to the polypeptide sequence defined by SEQ ID NO: 1 or 5, and a method of inhibiting D2R interaction with DISC1 in a mammal comprising administering an agent that inhibits the interaction of D2R with DISC1 to the mammal.

La présente invention porte sur des composés, compositions et procédés pour inhiber une interaction D2R-DISC1. De façon spécifique, la présente invention porte sur un polypeptide comprenant la séquence d'acides aminés KIYIVLRRRRKRVNT (SEQ ID NO : l) ou SEQ ID NO : 5, un fragment de celui-ci, ou un polypeptide comprenant une séquence d'acides aminés qui est identique à au moins 80 % à SEQ ID NO : l ou 5, ou un fragment de celui-ci, le polypeptide n'étant pas un récepteur naturel de la dopamine. L'invention porte également sur un procédé d'identification d'un agent qui inhibe l'interaction de D2R avec DISC1, sur un procédé d'identification d'un agent qui se lie à la séquence polypeptidique définie par SEQ ID NO : l ou 5, et sur un procédé d'inhibition de l'interaction de D2R avec DISC1 dans un mammifère, comprenant l'administration au mammifère d'un agent qui inhibe l'interaction de D2R avec DISC1.
