The invention relates to a dosage regimen for emergency contraception, to pharmaceutical compositions of the same purpose, to the use of levenorgestrel for the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions for the same purpose, as well as to the manufacturing process of these pharmaceutical compositions. According to the invention the emergency contraception carried out by the use of levonorgestrel as active ingredient is characterised by administering a single application dose containing 1.5 .plusmn. 0.2 mg of levonorgestrel as active ingredient up to 72 hours after the coitus. The pharmaceutical compositions for emergency contraception according to the invention contain only 1.5 + 0.2 mg of levonorgestrel as active ingredient in each application dose in admixture with known excipients, diluents, flavoring or aromatizing, stabilizers, as well as formulation-promoting or formulation-providing additives, commonly used in the pharmaceutical practice.
La présente invention concerne une posologie pour contraception d'urgence, des compositions pharmaceutiques au même effet, l'utilisation de lévonorgestrel dans la fabrication de compositions pharmaceutiques au même effet, et un procédé de fabrication desdites compositions pharmaceutiques. Selon l'invention, la contraception d'urgence mise en oeuvre par l'utilisation de lévonorgestrel comme principe actif est caractérisée en ce que l'on administre une seule dose d'application contenant 1,5 ? 0,2 mg de lévonorgestrel comme principe actif jusqu'à 72 heures après le coït. Les compositions pharmaceutiques de contraception d'urgence de l'invention ne contiennent que 1,5 ? 0,2 mg de lévonorgestrel comme principe actif dans chaque dose d'application, mélangé à d'autres excipients, diluants, aromatisants, stabilisants et autres additifs permettant de faciliter ou de constituer la formulation communément utilisés dans la pratique pharmaceutique.
