The invention relates to a dosing hopper for producing boards comprising oriented chips (OSB, LSL). Said hopper is arranged above a dispersion head and contains a device for pre-orienting (7) the flat, elongated wood chips (strands). The inventive dosing hopper is characterised in that a pivoting conveyer or a parallel conveyer is provided below the pre-orientation device (7), said conveyer continuously distributing the pre-oriented wood chips in their pre-oriented position over the entire width of the hopper.
