Dosing Pistol Abstract The dosing pistol is based on a manually actuated positive-displacement pump with a cylindrical housing (1), a product space (2) and a connecting rod (3) with the handle (5). By pulling on the handle (5) the quantity of liquid located in the product space (2) is displaced and flows out forwards through the central bore (19) in the connecting rod (3). The product space (2) is sealed off from the housing (1) by means of a funnel-shaped rub- ber diaphragm (10) resistant to medicaments and solvents. Non-return valves (22,20) are located at the inlet and outlet of the product space. The sealing-off of the pro- duct space (2) by means of the funnel-shaped diaphragm (10) guarantees that the dosing pump is absolutely leak- proof, so that no liquid can pass outwards. Moreover, a long life is ensured by means of this design. (Figure 1)
