An improved draw out circuit breaker, having low electrical and thermal resistance between the primary disconnect finger contacts and mating circuit breaker conductors, is achieved using multipoint direct electrical connections between the finger contacts and the corresponding circuit breaker conductors that they attach to. A notch is formed on the surface of the conductor at a location that interfaces with the finger contact and a protrusion is formed on the contact that enables it to partially enter the notch when fully engaged without resting on the bottom of the notch, so that the finger contact is supported by the walls of the notch. The protrusion captured within the notch retains the finger cluster on the conductor and provides a low electrical resistance connection without the use of excessive mating force.
