A double-face velour fabric article consists of a fabric body having a technical face formed by a filament stitch yam and a technical back formed by a filament loop yarn. The filament stitch yarn includes a heat sensitive material, e.g. a hot melt material or a heat shrinkable material, and/or an elastomeric material, such as spandex. The fabric body has a velour surface formed at both the technical back and the technical face. Raised fibers of at least one of the technical face and the technical back may be entangled, including in and/ar through interstices of the fabric body, toward the other of the technical face and the technical back, e.g., by a hydroentanglement process applied after finishing. The fabric body has permeability of about 80 ft3/ft2/min, or less, under a pressure difference of 1/2 inch of water across the fabric body.
Un article en tissu de velours double face consiste en un corps en tissu comportant une face technique formée par un fil à point de liage par filaments et un dos technique formé d'un fil bouclé a filaments. Le fil à point de liage par filaments comporte une matière thermosensible, p. ex. une matière thermoplastique ou thermorétractable, et/ou une matière élastomère, comme l'élasthanne. Le corps du tissu présente une surface en velours formée au dos technique et à la face technique. Les fibres dressées au moins à la face et au dos techniques peuvent être embrouillées, y compris dans les interstices du corps du tissu et/ou à travers ces interstices, en direction de l'autre partie de la face technique et du dos technique, p. ex. par procédé d'hydroenchevêtrement appliqué après finition. Le corps du tissu présente une perméabilité d'environ 80 pi cubiques/pi carrés/min, ou moins, sous une pression de ½ po d'eau à travers le corps du tissu.
