Known hubs for spoked wheels typically include a cylindrical hub shell with a flange disposed at each end, each of which has a plurality of spaced apart holes through which elbow spokes are drawn and secured by means of their enlarged heads. In this invention, individual elbowless spokes thread into, or pass through, a corresponding number of individual pivoting rollers mounted in a double flange disposed at one or both ends of the hub shell. The pivoting action of the rollers permits each spoke to follow the straightest possible path to its fitting hole on the rim.
