Abstract Double-Glazing Assemblies A double-glazing assembly suitable for horticultural and agricultural growing houses, which comprises a panel comprising two uniformly light-transmitting flexible thermoplastics films separated in spaced-apart relation- ship by a framework, said films and said framework defining a substantially gas-impermeable enclosure except that said enclosure is connected to a means arranged to evacuate the enclosure, characterised in that the inner surfaces of the films are adapted to be united into intimate surface-to-surface contact in response to the evacuation of the enclosure effected by the means arranged to evacuate the enclosure, thereby effectively forming a single film of double thickness over the regions of contact. Evacuation of the enclosure during the day-time improves light transmission of the assembly while inflation conserves thermal energy during the night time.
