ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A double lumen catheter, suitable for providing a vessel entry for extra-corporal hemodialysis is disclosed. The catheter has an internal cannula providing an inner passage for a blood inflow and an external cannula surrounding the internal cannula to provide an annular passage for the outflow of blood. The forward end of the external cannula is bevelled and honed for entry into the vessel and the internal cannula is slidable within the external cannula.
