A socket terminal assembly (18) includes a socket body (40) having a first end (41) with a first opening to receive a contact element (200) and a second opening at a second end to receive a pin (54). A contact element (200), located in the first opening, is configured to contact the corresponding connection region of a printed circuit board (14); a pin has an end (59) adapted to contact an electrical contacting area of an integrated circuit package (12) and an opposite end (58) configured to be inserted within the opening of the socket body (40). A contact spring (46) in the second opening receives the pin (54) and applies a frictional force sufficient to retain the lower end (56) of the pin (54) within the opening of the socket body. A resilient member (60) is disposed within the opening between the contact element (200) and the contact spring (46). The resilient member (60) applies to the pin and contact element (200), in response to a downward force applied to the pin (54) or an upward force applied to the contact element (200), a force sufficient to overcome the frictional force of the contact spring (46). An intercoupling component (16) includes a socket support member having holes (20), each hole (20) receiving a corresponding socket terminal assembly (18).
L'invention concerne un ensemble borne de douille (18) comprenant un corps de douille (40) doté d'une première ouverture destinée à recevoir un élément contact (200) au niveau d'une première extrémité (41) et d'une seconde ouverture destinée à recevoir une broche (54) au niveau d'une seconde extrémité. L'élément de contact (200) placé dans la première ouverture est configuré afin d'établir un contact avec une région de connexion correspondante de carte de circuits imprimés (14). La broche comprend une extrémité (59) conçue pour venir en contact avec une zone de contact électrique de boîtier de circuit imprimé (12), et une extrémité opposée (58) configurée afin d'être introduite à l'intérieur de l'ouverture du corps de douille (40). Un ressort de contact (46) placé dans la seconde ouverture reçoit la broche (54) et applique une force de friction suffisante pour retenir l'extrémité inférieure (56) de ladite broche (54) à l'intérieur de l'ouverture du corps de douille. Un élément élastique (60) est disposé à l'intérieur de l'ouverture entre l'élément de contact (200) et le ressort de contact (46). Ledit élément élastique (60) applique sur la broche et l'élément de contact (200), en réponse à une force dirigée vers le bas appliquée sur la broche (54) ou une force dirigée vers le haut appliquée sur l'élément de contact (200), une force suffisante pour compenser la force de friction du ressort de contact (46). Un composant d'intercouplage (16) comprend un élément de support de douille doté de trous (20), chaque trou (20) recevant un ensemble borne de douille (18) correspondant.
