ABSTRACT A double-shell wall is disclosed having an internal insulating layer of mineral wool or the like and a free space between the said insulating layer and the outer shell for the purpose of providing internal ventilation of the wall. The outer shell is made of building blocks having vertical, inwardly- projecting ribs, the average width of which is less than the average width of the gaps between them forming the said free space.
