The invention provides an improvement in a full recline incliner chair wherein the carriage mechanism which supports and moves the seat, backrest, legrest and footrest between their various positions does not require the use of roller and guide track assemblies, but rather uses linkage assemblies which move an incline frame subassembly along a substantially straight line as a double shift carriage mechanism shifts from an intermediate extended condition to a fully extended condition.
